Julio is an inventor, explorer, and entrepreneur. He was CISO for several ISPs, before building the first white hat / pentesting team in Spain and operating IP Seguridad, an MSSP serving clients in the banking, government, and defense sectors. In 2007, Julio founded AlienVault, which has grown to become one of the most popular and widely deployed Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) tools in cyber security.
Julio has a BS in Physics from Complutense University of Madrid. He serves as a strategic advisor to venture funds, is on the board of several startups and serves as a cyber security expert, and speaks at private and public sector events around the world.
