Emily West

Emily West is a dedicated professional currently serving as a Book Seller at Waterstones since June 2023. Emily participates in the Hi-Med Fellowship at High Impact Medicine and works as a Research Assistant for the Helen Bamber Foundation, both roles beginning in October 2022. Additionally, Emily holds the titles of Equality and Diversity Board Member at 50:50 Parliament and Writer for Right for Education. As a Mentor and Scholar for Medic Mentor, Emily contributes to the development of future medical professionals. Involvement with Student Minds as a University Mental Health Charter Panel Member focuses on advocating for enhanced mental health support in universities. Emily is also the Universities Officer and Communications Director for Conservative Young Women. Recently, Emily concluded a Research Assistant position at Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford, and a Research Trainee role at Dunn School, University of Oxford. Emily's academic background includes a BM BCh in Medicine from the University of Oxford, earned between 2018 and 2021, following studies at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College from 2014 to 2016.
