Pablo Gutierrez

Pablo Gutierrez has extensive work experience in the biotech industry. In 2018, they were the Group CEO at BDI Biotech, the CEO at 53Biologics, and the CEO at VLPbio. Additionally, they were a Founder and Member of the Board at ec2ce. Prior to 2018, they were the Vice President of Business Development at Abengoa from 2005-2018. During their time there, they also held the positions of General Manager Biotechnology, Deputy Managing Director, Project Manager, and Process Engineer. From 2003-2005, they were the Biofuels Area Manager at Instituto Tecnológico Agrario and from 2002-2003, they were the R&D Engineer at Inovia and the University of Birmingham.

Pablo Gutierrez began their educational journey in 1996, when they completed their Ingeniero Químico degree from Universidad de Salamanca. Pablo then went on to pursue an Msc in Biochemical Engineering from University of Birmingham, which they completed in 2003. In 2009, they completed an Executive MBA from IE Business School, with a focus in General Management. In 2014, they completed a Strategic R&D Management course from INSEAD, as well as a Product Marketing course from Pragmatic Marketing.
