Sir Peter Wanless currently serves as Managing Director of Pitch Perfect Consultancy Limited and President of Somerset County Cricket Club. Additionally, Sir Peter is a Member of the Board of Trustees for 5Rights and an Advisory Board Member for the National Leadership Centre. From June 2013 to December 2024, Sir Peter held the position of Chief Executive at NSPCC, where efforts focused on combating child cruelty by leading a significant team dedicated to vulnerable children’s protection. Prior to this, Sir Peter was the Chief Executive of the Big Lottery Fund, overseeing the distribution of approximately £750 million annually to charitable initiatives. Early in the career, Sir Peter held various director roles within the Department for Education. Sir Peter Wanless earned a Bachelor of Arts in International History and Politics from Leeds University.
