Meghan Curran

Meghan Curran has worked in various roles and organizations throughout their career. Meghan is currently serving as the Interim Director of Operations at 60 Decibels, where they manage research operations and oversees the People Operations team. Prior to this, Meghan worked as an Operations Consultant at McCourt Global's Project Liberty.

From 2013 to 2022, Meghan held multiple roles at Acumen, including West Africa Director, Head of Talent, and Senior Talent Associate. In these positions, they led Acumen's work investing in social enterprises, managed strategy and operations in the West Africa region, and played a key role in talent acquisition and management.

Before joining Acumen, Meghan worked as a Strategy Consultant at Community Enterprise Solutions, where they facilitated the launch of a secondary business unit and directed a summer internship program. Meghan also served as a Program Development Consultant at Grameen America, Inc., where they researched and designed a financial literacy and leadership program for at-risk teen girls.

Meghan's early career includes experience as a Center Manager at Grameen America, Inc., where they managed a portfolio of female entrepreneurs living below the poverty line. Meghan also worked as a Municipal Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps, focusing on strengthening civic participation and promoting economic opportunity for women.

Meghan Curran obtained their BA degree in Political Science and Public Communication from American University in the years 2002 to 2006. In the year 2004, they started their studies in Latin American Politics and Communication at Universidad Diego Portales. Meghan went on to pursue an MBA with a focus on Global Leadership and Management as well as Finance at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, in 2010 they participated in the StartingBloc program, specializing in Social Innovation.
