Huanbo LUAN

Huanbo LUAN has worked in the tech industry since 2008. In 2008, they worked as an IT Architect for the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. From 2010 to 2015, they were the Deputy Executive Director of the NExT++ Research Center, a leading AI research centre jointly established by the National University of Singapore and Tsinghua University of China. Huanbo conducted research in large-scale live social media content analysis and search, including live event detections and information organization. Since 2015, they have been the Founder & CEO of 6Estates, a Singapore AI FinTech spin-off from National University of Singapore and Tsinghua University of China. 6Estates specializes in Multilingual Natural Language Processing (NLP), Knowledge Graph (KG) and Machine Reading Comprehension (MRC) to understand business documents, providing AI-powered Intelligent Document Processing solutions in the Financial Services Industry to automate and simplify operational processes.

Huanbo LUAN received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Multimedia Processing and Analysis from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2008. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Technology from Shandong University in 2003.
