Jason Lustig

Jason Lustig, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience ranging from academia to software engineering. Jason currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at 6sense, where they have previously served as a Software Engineer III. Prior to this, they worked at Metaphor as a Full Stack Natural Language Processing and Web Developer, where they developed a podcast search engine and recommendation system, designed and optimized a data store for full-text search, and processed real-time podcast similarity. Jason also has experience as a Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Harvard University Center for Jewish Studies, a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the UCLA Department of History. In addition, Jason Lustig has entrepreneurial experience as the CEO and Sole Developer of FlashCards++, a successful iOS flashcards study app that generated consistent revenue for over five years.

Jason Lustig, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Near Eastern & Judaic Studies from Brandeis University in 2008. Jason then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Near Eastern & Judaic Studies at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Brandeis University from 2008 to 2009. Jason later attended UCLA, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in History, completing their studies from 2010 to 2017.
