John Demmler

John Demmler has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. John is currently the President/CEO of 7 17 Credit Union since November 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at A+ Federal Credit Union, including CLO & SVP Corporate Strategy from February 2021 to October 2023 and Chief Lending Officer from August 2016 to October 2023. John also served as the Chief Lending Officer at American Heritage Credit Union from July 2014 to July 2016. Before entering the credit union industry, they worked as the Director of Finance at Residential Finance from April to November 2013. John also held the position of EVP & COO/CFO at The Citizens Bank of Logan from February 2011 to February 2013. In addition, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Ohio University from May 2008 to February 2011. Earlier in their career, they gained experience at HSBC as AVP - Credit Policy & Risk from April 2006 to December 2007 and held various positions at JPMorgan Chase from 1999 to 2006.

John Demmler attended college from 1994 to 1999 at Franklin University, where they obtained multiple bachelor's degrees in finance, banking, business administration, and marketing. In 1997, they also attended the Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems at Georgetown University. Later, from 2000 to 2002, they pursued an M.B.A. in Commercial Real Estate Investments at Capital University. Following that, from 2004 to 2008, John attended DePaul University College of Law, where they earned their J.D. degree with a focus on law. John also briefly studied Chinese and Anti-Trust Law at Beijing Foreign Studies University in 2007.
