Shani F.

Shani F. is an accomplished education leader with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as the Director of Education at 826LA since February 2022, Shani manages and leads multiple education programs while enhancing quality and consistency. Previously, as School Director at Ascend Public Charter Schools from August 2014 to July 2021, Shani focused on fostering academic achievement and advancing education equity. Additional experience includes positions at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School as Resident Director/Dean of Students, Music Teacher/Chorus Director, and roles at Abyssinian Baptist Church and Newark Boys Chorus School. Shani is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at UCLA and holds a Master's degree from Westminster Choir College and a Bachelor's degree from Spelman College.
