Brad Carr, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience in the education field. Brad currently holds the position of Executive Principal at Knox County Schools since 2022. Previously, they served as the Director of Human Resources and Principal at Tazewell County Public Schools from 2017 to 2022. Brad also worked as an Assistant Principal at Tazewell County Public Schools from 2017 to 2018. Before that, they were an Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Mercer County Schools from 2015 to 2017, where they implemented strategies that significantly improved English and math achievement rates. Additionally, Brad has experience as a Freshman Academy Principal/Athletic Director and as a TAP Master Teacher at Knox County Schools from 2008 to 2015. Brad Carr, Ed.D. holds a Doctor of Education degree (EdD) in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands, which they earned between 2017 and 2021. Prior to that, they completed an Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Educational Administration and Supervision at Lincoln Memorial University from 2012 to 2013. Brad also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Modified and Comprehensive Special Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Brad Carr began their educational journey by earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from King University between 2004 and 2007.
