Hagit Schwimmer

Hagit Schwimmer is a seasoned professional in the fields of life sciences and innovation, currently serving as a member of 8400 - The Health Network since August 2021 and as the Director of the Life Science Department at ISERD since November 2018. Previously, Schwimmer held the position of Senior Director for Climate and Health in the Startup Division at the Israel Innovation Authority from January 2023 to February 2024, and served as Deputy Chief Scientist at the Ministry of Science and Technology from June 2016 to June 2018. Schwimmer also worked as the Scientific Director of Medical Sciences Research at the Ministry of Science Technology and Space from March 2014 to June 2016. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Physiology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and postdoctoral research at Stanford University and the University of Haifa, focusing on the impact of sleep stages on cardiovascular and thermoregulation.
