Sarah Echols

Sarah Echols has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sarah most recently worked at 8th Avenue Food & Provisions, where they held the role of Director of R&D and Innovation, focusing on Nut Butters and Healthy Snacks. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior R&D Manager and R&D Manager, specializing in Nut Butters at the same company.

Before joining 8th Avenue Food & Provisions, Sarah worked at Brill, Inc. as the Head of Innovation for North America and as an R&D Manager. Sarah also gained valuable experience at Barry Callebaut as an R&D Project Manager, where they managed the fat portfolio for the company and worked on new product development for compounds and fillings.

Sarah started their career at AarhusKarlshamn, where they served as a Customer Innovation Research Chemist, formulating and developing fat systems for various applications. Sarah also provided technical support to customers and acquired expertise in fat and oil analysis.

Sarah's educational background includes a Master of Science degree in Food Science and Technology with a focus on Lipid Chemistry from the University of Georgia. During their time at the university, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, specializing in structured lipids in infant formula.

In addition to their professional experiences, Sarah also worked at Target as a Starbucks Barista, cashier, and in guest services. Sarah also served as a Resident Assistant at the University of New Haven, managing a residential building and organizing programs for students.

Sarah's early career included an internship at the Wisconsin State Crime Lab in Milwaukee, where they gained hands-on experience in the Chemistry Department and shadowed forensic scientists in various departments.

Sarah Echols completed their Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry and Forensic Science from the University of New Haven, where they attended from 2005 to 2009. Sarah then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Food Science and Technology from The University of Georgia, which they attended from 2010 to 2011.
