Ian Shannon

Ian Shannon is currently the General Counsel at 8VC, a position they have held since June of 2019. Prior to that, Shannon served as Corporate Counsel for Andreessen Horowitz from March 2016 to June 2019. Before Andreessen Horowitz, Shannon was an Associate at Cooley LLP from September 2012 to February 2016.

Shannon began their legal career as an intern at NVIDIA in the legal department in June of 2011. Ian then went on to work as a summer law clerk for the Honorable David G. Larimer at the U.S. District Court in the Western District of New York from June 2010 to August 2010.

Outside of the legal field, Shannon has also worked as a Project Manager for Accolo, where they oversaw operations and marketing from January 2007 to December 2009.

Ian Shannon completed an A.B. in English from Princeton University and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
