Andrew Koskinen

Director, Scholar & Alumni Success at A Better Chance

Andrew Koskinen has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Andrew currently holds the position of Program Director, Scholar & Alumni Success at A Better Chance, where they have been working since October 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Program Manager, Scholar & Alumni Success at the same organization from January 2021 to October 2022.

Before joining A Better Chance, Andrew worked at Seeds of Peace as the US Program Director from May 2019 to May 2020. Andrew also worked at Henry Street Settlement, where they held the positions of College Success Manager from October 2018 to April 2019 and Lower East Side Youth Opportunity Hub Social Worker from September 2017 to October 2018.

Earlier in their career, Andrew served as a Trainer at The Posse Foundation from February 2015 to September 2017. Andrew also gained valuable experience at YMCA of Greater New York, where they held several roles including Interim Site Director from December 2014 to February 2015, Teen Coordinator from August 2013 to December 2014, Unit Leader from June 2011 to August 2014, and Teen Advisor from August 2011 to May 2013.

Andrew Koskinen earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physical and Biological Anthropology from Ohio University, where they attended from 2005 to 2009. Later, they pursued a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree with a focus on Group Work at Hunter College, completing their studies there from 2013 to 2016.
