A Home Team

A Home Team is singularly focused to find the very best match for the people we serve! Whether you are a potential Host Home Provider or a person looking for a Host Home, A Home Team is the right team to help you find the living situation that best meets your needs in an integrated community setting. Since 2006, A Home Team, formerly Dungarvin Utah, has worked cooperatively with each person, their family, support team and the Utah State Department of Human Services, Division of Services for People with Disabilities to find the best residential solution possible. We have several openings around the State of Utah, but even these may not be the best fit for your situation. Do you have a neighborhood or area you would like to live in? Do you have a best friend that also qualifies for services you want to live with? Are you looking for a young family, a mature family, a young adult, or maybe even an empty nester who is looking for an opportunity to serve others? Finding the right fit is not always easy, but it is usually worth it in the long run. The right fit means an opportunity to build relationships that last in a rewarding environment. What is a Host Home? For a variety of reasons, people with developmental/intellectual disabilities often need help above and beyond what can be provided in their natural home environment. The Host Home model allows a person to live in a private residence with a family or caregiver (non-related parent, guardian or spouse) rather than in an apartment or group home. Host Home providers are not A Home Team employees; they are independent contractors and manage their own home business. Host Home families or caregivers assist the individual in developing skills and building relationships in the community, the family, and their own personal life. Host Home living is highly flexible and focused on personal choice.
