Pappu Baniya, PE, is an accomplished structural engineer with extensive experience in bridge analysis and design. Currently employed at AI Engineers, Inc. since January 2019, Pappu specializes in analyzing and load rating existing highway bridges using advanced methodologies and software tools. Previously, as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Toledo, Pappu developed a Strut-and-Tie Method solution algorithm for the Ohio Department of Transportation's bridge pier caps and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, providing instruction in various structural engineering courses. Pappu's early career included a civil engineering position at DUDBC, where responsibilities included post-earthquake assessments following the significant Nepal earthquake in 2015. Pappu holds a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from The University of Toledo and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University.
