H Nick Carrasco

H Nick Carrasco is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as a GEO Ground Sustainment Product Algorithm SME and GOES-R Algorithm CM and Development Environment Lead at a.i. solutions since June 2023. Prior to this role, Carrasco was a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead at QinetiQ US from July 2022 to June 2023. With a robust background at Atmospheric and Environmental Research spanning over a decade, Carrasco held positions including Principal Engineer, where key contributions included leading software engineering efforts for GOES-R ABI Calibration algorithms and the Space Weather Product Monitoring tools. Carrasco also has significant experience as a Computer Engineer at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, working closely with NOAA on hurricane research tools. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Miami.
