Shannon Verdu, SHRM-CP has over 10 years of experience in Human Resources. Shannon is currently the Total Rewards Manager at a.k.a. Brands, a position they have held since 2022. In this role, Verdu is responsible for designing, planning and implementing benefits, payroll, HRIS and compensation programs. In this role, they provided front-line support to all FORMA team-members for any HR related questions around policies, procedures, benefits, timekeeping and general inquires, and was the owner of all things employee data including auditing the HRIS System, Timekeeping, COBRA, Benefit Enrollment, Hierarchy Reporting, Bonus Reporting, 401k, etc. Verdu also held the role of Specialist, People Operations at Morphe from 2018 to 2022, where they provided front-line support to all Morphe team-members for any HR related questions around policies, procedures, benefits, timekeeping and general inquires, and was the owner of all things employee data including auditing the HRIS System, Timekeeping, COBRA, Benefit Enrollment, Hierarchy Reporting, Bonus Reporting etc. Additionally, Verdu was a Specialist, People at Morphe from 2018 to 2022, where they utilized their love and affinity for the brand to recruit top relevant talent throughout the West Coast. From 2012 to 2018, Verdu held various roles at Hot Topic, including Manager New Store Operations & Analytics, Multi Unit Manager, Training Store Manager, Store Manager, District Talent Scout, and Store Manager. Prior to this, Verdu was a Store Manager and Assistant Manager at Pacific Sunwear from 2010 to 2012.
Shannon Verdu completed their education in 2011 when they attended Santa Rosa Junior College. In May 2022, they obtained their SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM.
