Amber Wirkus has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Amber started their career as a Media Relations intern at the Utah Grizzlies, where they organized promotional nights and assisted with various office tasks. Amber then worked as a Server/Bar Trainer at Brinker International before joining the Chicago Wolves as a Promotions staff member, where they helped with game day operations and customer service.
Amber gained hospitality industry experience at Marriott International, where they held roles in Sales & Marketing and Front Office. In Sales & Marketing, they managed social media and PR, worked on marketing projects, and handled the department budget. In Front Office, they ensured the smooth running of the front desk and provided excellent customer service to VIP guests.
Amber further advanced their career in the hospitality industry as the Director of Marketing & Business at Urban Commercial Property Group, Inc. Amber then served as Director of Sales at Atira Hotels and later as the Regional Director of Sales & Revenue at Hospitality Careers | Hotel Management Jobs.
Recently, Amber has taken on Vice President roles at both A.M. Woodland Outdoor Design and Lotz Custom Carpentry Inc.
Amber Wirkus graduated from Barrington High School in 2003 with a diploma and a field of study in General Studies. Amber then attended Weber State University from 2004 to 2007, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations with a Marketing & Advertising Emphasis. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Revenue Management from InterContinental Hotels & Resorts.
