Ian Smedema

Ian Smedema is an accomplished Internal Audit Manager at A. O. Smith Corporation, where responsibilities have included oversight and management of internal audit functions since March 2020. Prior to this role, Ian served as a Senior Internal Auditor at Brookdale from January 2015 to February 2019 and gained valuable experience as a Risk Advisory Associate at RSM US LLP from February 2019 to February 2020. Ian began a career in auditing with earlier positions as an Internal Auditor and Intern. Ian holds a Master's Degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, obtained between 2014 and 2015, and an undergraduate degree from the same institution completed in 2011. Ian is also a Certified Public Accountant.
