Kyle Schmiedeknecht

Kyle Schmiedeknecht is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and process improvement across multiple industries. Currently serving as Project Engineering Manager and Weld Engineering Manager at A. O. Smith Corporation since November 2019, Kyle leads automation and smart factory initiatives while overseeing continuous improvement and capital project management. Previous roles include Director of Process Improvement at GANTEC Inc., New Product Introduction Project Manager at Shape Corp., Weld Engineer at Polaris Industries, and Weld Supervisor at Kraftube Inc. Additionally, Kyle served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army, leading a reconnaissance team through combat in Afghanistan.
