Nigel Fernandes

Nigel Fernandes is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as the VP/General Manager of Engineering at Xero, overseeing ecosystem, cloud, platforms, and identity since January 2023. Previously, Nigel held the position of VP Engineering & Data at Publicis Sapient, managing technology professional services in Australia and New Zealand. At Coles, roles progressed from Head of Strategy & Architecture to Head of Architecture, Engineering, and Cloud, where Nigel was responsible for IT functions and cloud capabilities across the organization. Additional experience includes leadership roles at SEEK, Envato, and ThoughtWorks, focusing on architecture, development practices, and technical consulting. Nigel holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Goa University.
