Lauren Atkinson-Smith is an experienced Deputy Art Director and Art Editor at APL Media Limited, having contributed to the organization since March 2008. Throughout a career that began in design placements and internships, Lauren progressed to manage a team of six and has been instrumental in mentoring new recruits. Currently serving as Art Editor for both National Geographic Traveller (UK) and National Geographic Traveller Food magazines, Lauren's background includes early roles at Psychologies Magazine and YOU Magazine, as well as foundational work at Collectors Companion magazine, where essential skills in page layout and retouching were developed. Lauren holds a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design and Illustration from Buckinghamshire New University and has completed foundational studies at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College and A-levels at Haydon School & Sixth Form.
