Janet Bennett has extensive experience in instructional design, multimedia production, and training. Janet began their career in 1986 as a Leader Worker in Citibank's Student Loan Repayment Department. In 1993 they interned at WLIW-TV and worked as a Summer Camp Counselor at Camp Horizon, Inc. Janet then worked as an Administrative Assistant at Bellmore Community Church from 2000-2005. From 2005-2008, Janet worked as a Substitute Teacher for Volusia County Schools and as an Instructor for Flagler Schools. From 2010-2015, they were a Manager-User Support Specialist and an Instructional Resources Developer and Trainer at Daytona State College. Since 2015, Janet has been an Instructional Designer for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and A Pass Educational Group, LLC. Janet is currently an Instructional Designer for LearningMate.
Janet Bennett has an extensive educational background. Janet obtained a Bachelor of Science (BA) in Technical Education and Industry Training from the University of Central Florida in 2010. Janet then continued their studies at the University of Central Florida and earned a Master of Arts Degree-College of Education in Career and Technical Education in 2013. Prior to that, they attended Daytona State College in 2007 to complete prerequisite courses for the College of Education. In 1988, they earned an Associates of Applied Science in Visual Communications-TV and Video Production from Monroe Community College. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Instructional Design: Needs Analysis from LinkedIn Learning in 2021, Applying the QM Rubric from QM Quality Matters in 2020, Business Writing Principles from Lynda.com in 2018, Teaching Techniques: Writing Effective Learning Objectives from Lynda.com in 2018, and Efficient Time Management from Lynda.com in 2018.
