Joyce Jones Strait

Joyce Jones Strait is an experienced educator and program manager with a diverse background in science education and program development. Since October 2014, Joyce has served as a Science Teacher and Department Chair at St. Paul Public Schools, where responsibilities include design teaching and supporting the Middle Years Programme as a specialist. Joyce has also been the Program Manager at FACE The Foundation for Culture and Education since May 2013, focusing on enhancing educational programs. Previous roles include officiant at Pilgrim House Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and personal care assistant at A Plus Home Health Care, Inc. Joyce taught science during a summer session at PYC Arts and Technology High School and developed an online credit recovery program at Minnesota Transitions Charter School. Joyce's educational background includes a BA in Biology and Education from Hamline University, alongside a coordination role at the institution from 2007 to 2009.
