Gerrit de Jong

Gerrit de Jong is an experienced educator and leader in various social domains, currently serving as a mathematics teacher at St Maartenscollege Voorburg since April 2024. Concurrently, Gerrit holds the position of Chairman of the Council of Insured Persons at a.s.r. verzekeringen and leads the Regional Advisory Council for Protected Living and Social Assistance at Gemeente Nissewaard. With a robust background in teaching exact sciences, including mathematics, chemistry, and physics at CSG Prins Maurits Middelharnis for over 40 years, Gerrit has also engaged in advisory roles related to youth, sports, and social policy since 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a director at Jongzicht and holding mayoral roles in various municipalities, focusing on social affairs and community development. Gerrit also possesses a degree in Organic Chemistry from Delft University of Technology.
