Martijn Akse

Martijn Akse is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Lead Architect and Head of Architecture at a.s.r. since July 2023, overseeing a team of architects and contributing to the IT leadership team. Prior to this role, Martijn held the position of Interim CTO at Aegon Nederland from June 2014 to July 2023, focusing on IT strategy projects and governance while reporting directly to the CEO. Martijn also served as Lead Architect at Aegon, managing a diverse architecture team in a SAFe Agile environment. Earlier roles include Sourcing Strategy Manager at PostNL, Senior Consultant at Boer & Croon, and Co-Founder/Senior Consultant at Sense Sourcing Management BV. Martijn's career began at ABN AMRO Bank NV, where responsibilities included systems engineering and IT architecture for global banking solutions. Martijn holds a BSc in Computer and Information Science from De Haagse Hogeschool.
