Alex Hurd

Alex Hurd has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. They began their career as a Foreman at Island Lawn and Garden from 1999 to 2005, followed by a role as a Foreman at Anthony Landscape and Design from 2006 to 2007. Alex then joined ARAMARK Education K-12 as a Training and Development Manager from 2007 to 2014, where they were responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training Landscape Training Program candidates while also reducing labor costs through partnerships. Since 2014, Alex has been working at A Safe Haven Foundation, initially as the Director of Urban Employment Training Program, where they led a team and collaborated with other agencies to provide work readiness and employment services. Currently, Alex holds the position of Director of Learning and Organizational Development at A Safe Haven Foundation, where they have established a new department, designed and implemented talent development strategies, and supported employee advancement.

Alex Hurd attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Sports Management.
