A Step Up Academy
Shannon Kelly has a diverse background in various roles in behavioral health, education, and customer service. With experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, Instructional Assistant, Classroom Assistant, and Behavioral Health Technician, Shannon also has a strong academic background with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis. Previous roles include positions such as Research Assistant, Style Advisor, and Personal Care Assistant, showcasing versatility and dedication in various fields.
A Step Up Academy
A Step Up Academy is a private, not-for-profit school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder from Preschool through 8th grade. “A Step Up Academy prepares students to become engaged participants in society by developing innovative academic, social, emotional, and behavioral programming as well as impactful community partnerships.” Grounded in evidence-based practices with a focus on targeting the fundamental areas of communication, we work with students, families, school districts and communities to place children back into a fully inclusive environment. Our focus is to serve the growing population of young children on the autism spectrum that have significant developmental delays, speech and language difficulties, and moderate behaviors that are associated with the diagnosis. We serve children in preschool through fourth grade. A Step Up Academy targets cognitive, academic, social, sensory, and motor development, as well as adaptive and problem behaviors that interfere with learning. We offer in-house speech & language and occupational therapies.
