Shih Ming Tseng

Shih Ming Tseng, Ph.D. has diverse work experience dating back to 1996. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Software Engineering Manager at A10 Networks, Inc, where they have been since 2010. Within this role, they have led the network routing area and has been the principal developer of multiple revenue-generating features related to BGP and ACOS. Shih Ming'sresponsibilities include software engineering design, implementation, troubleshooting, and escalated customer case support.

Prior to joining A10 Networks, Inc, Shih Ming Tseng was a Co-Founder of Tai and Tseng Investments LLC, an intellectual property holding company that they helped establish in 2008. Additionally, they have extensive experience working at UC Davis, where they served as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant/Grader from 2001 to 2009.

Furthermore, Shih Ming Tseng worked as an Instructor in the Microsoft MCSE Certification Training Program in Taoyuan, Taiwan from 2000 to 2001. Shih Ming also gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Multimedia and Content Retrieval Laboratory in Hsinchu, Taiwan from 1997 to 1998.

Lastly, Shih Ming Tseng started their career as a Unix Instructor and System Administrator at the Computer & Network Center in NCTU, Hsinchu, Taiwan and worked as an Entry Level Sales Engineer at Halve Enterprise Co., LTD. in Taipei, Taiwan, both in 1996.

Shih Ming Tseng, Ph.D., completed their education in the field of Computer Science. They earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from National Chiao Tung University, which they attended from 1994 to 1998. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science, specializing in Sensor Network, at the University of California, Davis from 2001 to 2004. Shih Ming Tseng continued their academic journey and earned a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis in 2010. Their doctoral research focused on Computer Science, specifically in the areas of Routing and Security.
