Charles Pickard Aia (Chooch)

Charles "Chooch" Pickard, AIA, currently serves as a Senior Architect at A2H - Engineers • Architects • Planners since July 2022. Previously, Pickard held the position of Principal at ArchInc from May 2017 to June 2022 and was the Executive Architect at City South Ventures from January 2013 to February 2017. Additional experience includes a candidacy for City Council District 5 in the City of Memphis and roles as Executive Director and Chief Design Officer at the Memphis Regional Design Center. Pickard's leadership in AIA Memphis includes serving as Past President and President, and also contributed to Alpha Rho Chi Fraternity as National Secretary and National Expansion Director. As the owner of CM Design from October 2004 to February 2009, Pickard specialized in historic renovation and preservation architecture. Early career experience includes positions as an intern architect at TRO and a Development Project Coordinator at the Center City Commission. Educational qualifications include a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, complemented by an architectural study abroad experience in Versailles.
