Lonnie Spires has extensive work experience in the field of laboratory accreditation and operations management. Lonnie is currently the CEO at the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), a position they have held since 2016. Prior to that, they served as the President and CEO of Trescal Inc. from 2011 to 2016. In this role, they were responsible for the management of all 12 USA locations and 26 internal customer labs, overseeing 300 employees.

Lonnie Spires has also held various roles at NCSL International, a non-profit organization promoting measurement science, and served as a member of their Board of Directors. Lonnie achieved significant financial improvements and increased profitability during their time as President from 1994 to 2016.

Before joining Trescal Inc., Lonnie Spires was the Managing Director of Dynamic Technology Inc., a calibration services provider, where they oversaw multiple laboratories and worked with a wide range of customers in various industries.

Additionally, Lonnie Spires has served as a board member for the National Cooperation for Laboratory Accreditation (NACLA) and was the General Manager of Comtel Electronics Inc., where they achieved significant sales growth and cost reduction.

Lonnie'scareer began in 1985 as the Metrology Service Manager at Raytheon Aircraft Company.

Lonnie Spires has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Newman University. Prior to that, they attended Butler Community College and earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Lonnie also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Webster University.
