Amit Kumar

Amit Kumar is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Director of Investments at the Automobile Club of Southern California, overseeing a team managing $19 billion in insurance company assets. Prior to this role, Amit was a Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst for Global and International Equities at Metropolitan West Capital Management, where a significant portion of long-term outperformance stemmed from stock selection within a concentrated portfolio. Amit has also held positions at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas as a Portfolio Manager for Emerging Markets, where strategic portfolio construction and high-quality stock selection were prioritized. Earlier experience includes roles as a Research Analyst at FAF Advisors, and an Analyst at Target Corporation. Amit holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, along with an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a B.Tech/B.S. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
