Luis Gomes

Luis Gomes is the CEO of AAC Clyde Space, a position they have held since April 2019. Prior to this, they were the CTO of Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) from October 2017 to April 2019, the Commercial Director from October 2016 to November 2017, and the Director of Earth Observation and Science from October 2011 to October 2016. From January 2009 to December 2011, Gomes was the Head of Earth Observation at SSTL, responsible for the success of the company's EO Business. Luis implemented the EO strategy, ensured delivery of on-going programmes and defined the new EO products. Gomes was also responsible for the development of NovaSAR and 300 S1 products during their time at SSTL. Prior to their role as Head of Earth Observation, Gomes was Project Manager at SSTL from January 2004 to December 2008, and a System Engineer from November 1997 to December 2003.

Luis Gomes has a Master of Science in Satellite Engineering from the University of Surrey and a Licenciatura in Physics from Universidade de Lisboa.
