Micki Aaen is the CEO and Founder of Aaen Engineering, where they lead sustainability engineering and inform sustainable architecture and city planning to accelerate the green transition in the built environment. They were a Sustainability Engineer at Henning Larsen Architects from 2017 to 2019, with additional roles as an Engineering Intern and a Student Assistant in the Sustainability Engineering department. They earned a Master of Science in Architectural Engineering from DTU (2015–2017), a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from DTU (2011–2014), and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with Renewable Energy Technologies from the University of New South Wales (2013). They also served as External Supervisor for the Joint Interdisciplinary Course in Urban Planning at the University of Copenhagen in 2018, and as an Assistant Teacher (2015–2017) and External Lecturer at DTU.
