Sumantha Shankar

Sumantha Shankar currently serves as the Regional HR Head for South at Aakash Educational Services Limited since August 2023. Previously, Sumantha held the position of Zonal Manager - HR for South at Bharti AXA Life Insurance from February 2008 to January 2023, overseeing various HR functions including recruitment life cycle management, competency-based hiring, learning and development, and employee engagement. Earlier experience includes a role as Sr Executive Recruitments at MeritTrac Service's Pvt Ltd., where Sumantha managed multiple recruitment events, and as Sr Consultant at Reach Management Consulting Pvt Ltd, focusing on candidate screening and closing job openings. Sumantha holds a PGDHRM in Human Resources from the University of Mysore.
