Christian Thyssen

Christian Thyssen is currently the Laboratory Manager at Aalberts Surface Technologies, a position held since July 2019, where responsibilities include GLP management, development and qualification of GLISS-COAT® sustainable coatings, and consultation regarding hazardous substances regulations. Prior to this role, Christian was a Project Manager at the wfk - Cleaning Technology Institute from October 2017 to June 2019, focusing on innovation management and product development while advising both public and private partners. From April 2011 to September 2017, Christian served as a Scientific Associate at the University of Duisburg-Essen, engaging in research on chemistry, biotechnology, and corrosion, and facilitating the application for research projects. Christian holds a Dr. rer. nat. degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Microbiology, a Master of Science in Water Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Water Science with a focus on chemistry, analytical and microbiology, all from the University of Duisburg-Essen.
