Lu Zhang is a Laboratory Manager and Research Assistant at the University of Arkansas, contributing to the establishment of a new research lab within the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry since October 2025. Previously, Lu served as a Senior Scientist at NOWDiagnostics from June 2014 to September 2025, where notable achievements included leading the development of the First to Know lateral flow platform and contributing to the first FDA-approved OTC Syphilis home test. Lu also held various leadership roles at Toastmasters International, managing operations and budgeting for District 43, training club officers, and achieving significant club growth. Earlier experiences include roles in R&D and contract manufacturing at ImmunoVision, and academic positions at the University of Arkansas and Fudan University. Lu holds a Master of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Fudan University.
