Mark W. Fly, PE has extensive work experience in the HVAC industry. Mark W. has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing their expertise in engineering, management, and leadership.

From 1980 to 2006, Mark worked for several companies, including Thermo-Aire Systems, Ark-Mo Services, Willard Givens and Associates, Governair, LLC, and CES Group, LLC. During these years, they served as Vice President of Engineering, Chief Engineer/Estimator, Manager of Engineering, and Director of Engineering.

In 2006, Mark joined AAON, Inc. as the Director of Engineering & Government Affairs. Mark W. later went on to become the Executive Director of R&D & Laboratory Services before taking on the role of Executive Director of the Norman Asbjornson Innovation Center (NAIC Lab), where they were responsible for the development and management of the testing laboratory.

Starting in 2011, Mark began their involvement with ASHRAE, serving in various positions such as Director at Large on the Board of Directors, Chair of the Technical Committee 9.1 Large Building Systems, and Foundation Trustee.

In 2012, Mark became actively involved with The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), where they served on the Applied Leadership Council, Systems Steering Committee, and Unitary Leadership Council, among others. Mark W. also held leadership positions, including Chair of the Air to Air Energy Recovery Section and Chair of the Unitary Large Air Conditioning Section.

Additionally, Mark has been involved with the U.S. Department of Energy as an active volunteer participant in the Commercial HVAC&R Equipment Workgroup, where they contributed to the negotiation of rules and regulations for HVAC equipment.

Furthermore, Mark has been a part of ASHRAE's Distinguished Lecturers Program, providing lectures on cutting-edge technology topics to ASHRAE members and other organizations.

Mark W. Fly, PE completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics - Alternate Energy Technology from Missouri State University in 1980. Mark W. is a Registered Professional Engineer licensed by the Oklahoma State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors since 1990 and also licensed by the Arkansas State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors since 1986. Additionally, Mark holds certifications as a Certified Self Defence Act (Concealed Carry) Instructor from the Oklahoma Council For Law Enforcement Training/Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation, and as an NRA Certified Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun Instructor, and Range Safety Officer from the National Rifle Association.
