Kirstin Samp has over 15 years of experience in fundraising and marketing. Kirstin began their career at Our Children's Homestead in 2002 as the VP of Development & Marketing, where they were responsible for fundraising through private donations, corporate and foundation grants, and special events. Kirstin also managed the agency's marketing efforts, including creating materials for distribution, managing social media, and updating the website. In 2006, Kirstin became the Development Director at Our Children's Homestead until 2008.
In 2015, Kirstin joined the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as the Manager of Corporate Foundation Relations. In this role, they identified potential foundation partners, wrote grant applications and budgets, and managed stewardship activities. Kirstin was successful in securing funding for board-approved programs by submitting compelling and meaningful cases for support. Kirstin's expertise in fundraising and partnerships led their to their most recent position as the Director of Corporate Relations at AAP. In this role, they provided strategic leadership for corporate fundraising, cultivating and stewarding prospective funders to secure support for the AAP's mission. Kirstin has a proven track record of establishing long-term partnerships and achieving funding goals for both immediate and long-term objectives.
Kirstin Samp completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication & Marketing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Kirstin attended the university from 1998 to 2002.
