Kymika Okechukwu Mpa

Kymika Okechukwu, MPA has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Kymika started their career in 2002 as a Market Research Analyst at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as a Senior Market Research Analyst, and in 2004, they became a Business Development Coordinator.

In 2005, Kymika joined the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as an Editorial Assistant and Advertising Coordinator. Kymika then worked as a Publishing Support Manager from 2006 to 2008.

From 2008 to 2010, they served as an Annual Giving and Marketing Specialist at the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, where they led marketing communications initiatives and managed budgets. Kymika later transitioned to the role of a Professional Practice Research Analyst, conducting literature searches, critically appraising evidence, and researching studies affecting anesthesia professionals.

In 2014, Kymika joined the American Academy of Pediatrics as a Manager, Evidence-Based Practice Initiatives. Kymika oversaw the clinical practice guideline development process, served as primary staff for various committees, managed project budgets, and coordinated literature reviews for evidence-based practice guidelines.

In 2017, they were promoted to Senior Manager, Evidence-Based Medicine Initiatives at the same organization, where they continued to oversee the clinical practice guideline development and revision process, acted as a staff liaison, and supervised a direct report responsible for guideline dissemination and implementation.

Kymika Okechukwu has demonstrated expertise in evidence-based medicine, guideline development, research analysis, marketing communications, and budget management throughout their career.

Kymika Okechukwu has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Kymika also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from DePaul University. In addition, Kymika has completed real estate studies at the REALTORS Real Estate School.
