Melanie Rafaty

Melanie Rafaty has been serving as the Director of Scientific Meetings at the American Academy of Ophthalmology since May 1997, overseeing the educational program for scientific meetings, including the Academy's Annual Meeting, the largest ophthalmic meeting globally with over 24,000 attendees. Prior to this role, Melanie worked as a Convention Development Coordinator at ProServ from June 1993 to February 1997. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Southern California, earned between 1989 and 1993.
