Susan Malloy

Susan Malloy is currently the Manager of Acquisitions and Development at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, responsible for overseeing the peer review and publishing aspects of the Basic and Clinical Science Course, an essential curriculum for ophthalmology residents and professionals. With extensive experience in publishing, including roles such as Acquisitions Editor and Program Manager at the Academy, and Content Producer at Pearson Education, Susan has a proven track record in project management, budget oversight, and collaboration with authors and editors. Notable achievements include timely delivery of print projects and the development of an interactive etext that serves as a model within Pearson's Science products. Susan's earlier experience includes editorial positions at Lonely Planet, Mayfield Publishing, and Cengage. Susan holds a BA with High Honors in History from Swarthmore College.
