Stefan Simmelsgaard Hansen

Stefan Simmelsgaard Hansen is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an external lecturer in insolvency law at Aarhus Universitet since January 2023. Since September 2015, Stefan has held the position of attorney at Horten Advokatpartnerselskab. Previous academic roles include teaching property and creditor law at the University of Copenhagen from February 2019 to January 2023, and serving as a student instructor in property and family inheritance law at Aarhus University. Additionally, Stefan has experience as a junior lawyer and trainee at Andersen Partners Lawfirm, as well as with Lett Lawfirm. Stefan was also a board member of JuraFabrikken at Danske Advokater from October 2012 to July 2014. Stefan's education includes a Master’s Degree in Law from Aarhus University and participation in the Duke-Geneva Institute in Transnational Law. Other early career experiences involve roles in teaching and sales assistance.
