Dave O

Dave O is an experienced professional in the fields of cyber security and telecommunications management, currently serving as the Head of Cyber Relations at AARNet since June 2019. In this role, Dave O develops and maintains strategic relationships across government, industry, and academia, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. Previously, Dave O was involved as a Cyber Security Specialist at the Tech Policy Design Centre, contributing to research on the resilience of the telecommunications sector in Australia. From 2006 to June 2019, Dave O worked for the Australian Government as a Telecommunications Operations Executive, managing a national team and focusing on critical dependencies in telecom networks. Earlier in the career, Dave O gained experience in System and Network Management at Scope (Aust) from 2000 to 2006. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Business from Monash University, several organizational leadership workshops, and a Diploma in Information Technology from TAFE SA.
