Getachew Yitna Woldesemiat

Getachew Yitna Woldesemiat is an experienced accountant and finance professional currently employed at AARP Foundation and AARP since December 2019. Previous experience includes serving as a freelance consultant in finance, accounting, and internal auditing from January 2015 to August 2018, and managing the Human Resource and Logistics Department at Midroc Ethiopia PLC from November 2012 to December 2014. Additionally, Getachew held the position of Internal Audit Department Manager at MIDROC Ethiopia PLC from July 1996 to October 2012. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Unity University, certification as a Certified Internal Auditor from The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA/USA), a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Addis Ababa University, and an Intermediate Diploma in Accounting and Commerce from the Commercial School of Addis Ababa.
