Krystal Downie

Krystal Downie is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operational management and research support. Currently serving as Business Operations Manager at AARP Foundation since February 2023, Krystal has also held roles as a Research Assistant for Dr. Keith Miller at Arizona State University since February 2019 and as a Governance Fellow at Democracy Fund from September to December 2019, where responsibilities included logistical support for events and data management. Previous experience includes serving as Programs and Project Specialist at Arizona Developmental Disabilities Planning Council, focusing on educating the community about policies affecting individuals with developmental disabilities, and conducting research in the English Department at Arizona State University for projects related to prominent historical figures. Krystal holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy Analysis from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Arizona State University.
