Patricia D. Shannon Mba (Trish)

Trish Shannon has a diverse range of work experience, with their most recent role as the CFO and SVP Strategy, Innovation, Finance, Grants, Technology, and Operations at AARP Foundation. In this position, they are responsible for aligning resources to create an impact for individuals over 50 who are at social and economic risk. Trish leads a team that focuses on developing, designing, and improving systems and activities to maximize results. Prior to their current role, they worked as the VP of Finance and Administration at The Centre for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA), where they were responsible for strategic planning and managing financial, information systems, human resources, and administrative functions. Trish also has experience as the Director of Internal Audit at CARE, where they created the internal audit function and reported directly to the CEO. Patricia D. (Trish) began their career at Coopers & Lybrand as a Senior Manager, specializing in international, entertainment, educational, and non-profit clients.

Trish Shannon possesses an extensive educational background, having obtained a Master's degree in International Business from Georgia State University in 1995. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Economics from St. John's University in 1983. In 2017, Trish further expanded their knowledge by earning a Graduate Certificate in Public Health from The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health.
