Beth Ellard

Beth Ellard, MBA, of New York, is the co-founder of Futureproof Strategies, LLC, a consultancy. She works with client companies to strengthen their core businesses and accelerate their reinvention in the face of disruptive change.

Beth's career experience spans strategic, revenue, and operational leadership in digital, emerging, and traditional media, including Time Inc., Disney, Hearst, Comcast/NBCU, and most recently, the Ad Council.

As Chief Media Officer at the Ad Council, Beth was responsible for the non-profit’s US B2B media client relationships and work industry-wide, securing $1.6 billion in ad inventory for 5 years in a row, marketing 40 social-cause campaigns annually, and driving consumer awareness, engagement, and behavioral change. Beth led the successful transformation of the 70+ year-old media business for continued relevance and impact in a rapidly-changing digital environment.

Beth was EVP & GM of Comcast/NBCU’s DailyCandy, where she led the business expansion from industry-leading email newsletter to thriving digital, video, social, experiential, and ecommerce company. Under Beth’s leadership, the business delivered record-level audience, revenue, and profit growth.

Previously, Beth was part of the digital-business launch team for Hearst Magazines Digital Media, launching and scaling Hearst Women’s, Young Women’s, and Beauty & Fashion Networks to comScore Top 10 in under 3 years.

In her earlier career, Beth spent 15 years progressing through a series of increasingly larger management roles at Time Inc., Disney, and Ziff-Davis, including marketing, finance and sales positions. She has an undergraduate degree in English from Georgetown and an MBA from Northwestern.
