John Martin

John Martin has extensive experience in communications and marketing, serving as the Associate State Director of Communications at AARP-RI since March 2011. Previously, John held multiple roles in academia as an Adjunct Professor of Communications at Roger Williams University and an Adjunct Professor of Journalism at Rhode Island College. Prior experience includes significant leadership positions such as Director of Marketing & Communications and Director of Public Relations at Save The Bay - Narragansett Bay and as VP of Marketing at BX.com, Inc. Additionally, John contributed to the media landscape as a Media Columnist for The Providence Journal and a nationally syndicated columnist for the New York Times Syndicate. John holds a Master’s degree in American Civilization from Brown University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
